International Yoga Day 2026 at SIPS 🧘♂️
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
Sriguru International Public School proudly celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and participation from our students and staff. The session began with simple yoga postures, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices that encouraged everyone to experience the harmony of mind, body, and spirit.
International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga and to promote a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. The date was chosen because it marks the summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, symbolizing light, energy, and well-being.
In today’s fast-paced world, yoga plays a vital role in helping children develop concentration, flexibility, emotional balance, self-discipline, and overall physical fitness. Beyond physical health, yoga teaches patience, resilience, and inner peace—qualities that help students grow into confident and responsible individuals.
At SIPS, we believe that education extends beyond academics. Activities such as yoga help nurture holistic development and empower our students to lead healthy, mindful, and meaningful lives.
Let us continue to embrace yoga as a way of life and take a step towards a healthier tomorrow.
