The spirit of affection, togetherness and mutual respect filled SRIGURU International Public School as our students came together to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, one of India’s most cherished traditions.

The celebration introduced our young learners to the beautiful meaning behind the festival and the symbolic thread of Rakhi — representing love, protection, responsibility and the promise to care for one another. With enthusiasm and warmth, the children participated in the festivities, sharing smiles and creating happy memories with their friends.

More than a traditional celebration, the occasion became an opportunity to help children understand that the values represented by Raksha Bandhan extend beyond the bond between brothers and sisters. Kindness, respect, friendship and looking out for one another are relationships and responsibilities that enrich our entire community.

The colourful Rakhis, joyful interactions and excitement of the children made the celebration especially memorable, while helping them connect with India’s rich cultural traditions in a simple and meaningful way.
