They learned that food scraps, fruit and vegetable peels, and other biodegradable materials belong to <strong>wet waste<\/strong>, while paper, plastic, metal and similar materials are generally classified as <strong>dry waste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the hands-on activity, students identified different waste items and placed them in the appropriate bins. This practical exercise helped them understand the difference between dry and wet waste and why both should be separated at the source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activity also created awareness about cleanliness, recycling and the harmful effects of improper waste disposal. Students learned that responsible segregation makes recycling and composting easier while reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By encouraging children to adopt these simple habits from an early age, SIPS aims to nurture environmentally conscious and responsible citizens.
