The school campus came alive with the sights, sounds and excitement of a bustling marketplace as our young learners participated in an engaging activity titled “Market Masti.”

A colourful market was created where the children took turns becoming enthusiastic vendors and curious customers. The stalls were filled with a variety of fruits and vegetables, giving the children an opportunity to recognise different produce and learn their names, colours and everyday uses.

The young vendors confidently displayed their items, greeted customers, explained what they were selling and responded to their questions. Meanwhile, the customers explored the stalls, enquired about prices, selected what they wished to purchase and practised handling money. Their cheerful conversations and enthusiastic participation made the entire experience lively and enjoyable.

Beyond all the fun, Market Masti offered several valuable learning opportunities. It helped the children understand the basic process of buying and selling while developing their communication, social interaction and decision-making skills. Counting items and money also strengthened their basic mathematical understanding in a simple and practical way.

The activity encouraged teamwork, confidence, creativity and independent thinking. It was wonderful to see the children express themselves freely, interact with one another and learn through experience.

Market Masti proved that some of the most meaningful lessons are learned beyond textbooks—through participation, exploration and joyful play.
